Bunny rabbits
make lovable pets but require many specific care requirements, so adequate research should be done before purchasing a rabbit for a pet. There are several different species of bunny rabbits and over 40 different breeds are accepted by the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association.) A description of each breed can be found in the Standard of Perfection, which is available from the ARBA. Pet rabbits and rabbit supplies can be found in pet stores, from private breeders or rescue shelters. Be sure to check the health, condition and socialization of the rabbits wherever you purchase it. Visit the breeders and observe carefully where the bunnies are raised and if the babies are well socialized. The same is true for pet stores, which is probably the most readily available source for pet bunny rabbits.
